About Broke Slipper Paint Company

About the Founder

As a teenager, Adam apprenticed as a painter for his Uncle’s company, working through high school and eventually starting his own business. As a kid, he decided to turn his passion for urban art into a productive professional painting business that could benefit others and satisfy his love of painting. A Kailua-local born and raised, he understands the specificities of various Hawaii neighborhoods and home needs.

Adam lives to paint. He was born to be a painter. Painting is his zen, and making the homes, interiors and exteriors of people’s houses look brand new is his passion. As one of the most competitive house painters on Oahu, he believes in offering the best service possible at fair and competitive prices. Why Broke Slipper Paint?

Over a decade ago, Adam was on his way to a job site. He had a milk crate of old slippers in the back of his truck, and friend laughingly asked, “What is this, Broke Slipper Paint?” It was a passing comment, but nonetheless, Adam fell in love with the name.

That day, he went out and bought the rights to the name for his residential painting business and began his career as a local business owner. Broke Slipper speaks to a common aspect of Hawaii life—we can all relate to those classic slippers that are a staple of Hawaii life. While Adam certainly doesn’t wear slippers on the job, his business holds to that core connection to life in Hawaii.

Adam is a local business owner who takes a deep level of pride in his craft. Being a local business means you’ll always work with him directly, and you can rest assured knowing you’re hiring a highly reliable house painter who values your business and home as if it were his own.
